Privacy Policy

Overview

Flashtab is a Chrome extension that replaces your new tab page. We take privacy seriously. Free plan users store zero data outside their own browser.

What we collect — Free plan

Nothing. All data on the free plan is stored locally in chrome.storage. We have no access to it. If you uninstall the extension, the data is gone.

What we collect — Paid plan

Paid plan users create an account via Firebase Authentication. We store your email address, a hashed password or OAuth token (depending on sign-in method), and the content of your Spaces and tabs in Cloudflare D1 to enable cross-device sync.

We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising. We do not share it with third parties except those required to operate the service (Cloudflare for database hosting, Lemon Squeezy for payment processing).

Payments

Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy. We do not store card details. Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy applies to payment data.

Browser permissions

Flashtab requests the following Chrome permissions: storage, tabs, history, sessions, bookmarks, identity. These are used exclusively to provide the extension's features within your browser. No browsing history or tab data is transmitted to our servers on the free plan.

Data deletion

Free plan users can delete all data by uninstalling the extension. Paid plan users can delete their account and all associated data from the account page, or by emailing us.
